Baby Cribs that have the durability to last through 2 children

Baby Cribs
I should have been more excited about shopping for baby cribs, but I was busy painting the nursery in a luxurious Ralph Lauren Loft Living White after getting a contractor to refinish our hardwood floors in our little suburban home. I was busy! But still excited to be expecting our first boy! In the meantime, my wife had been doing all the research and mom-in-law was to generously purchase the crib for us as a gift. I love mom-in-law!

The Delta 5-in-1 Crib is a durable crib that was built to last well into several stages of childhood. This model included the drop down side with 3 positions for the mattress. The drop down was a recall and Delta sent us safety locks for the frame, but at that point our daughter was graduating to a toddler bed. It might come in handy for our next one, but drop downs are now out! My wife also did the research and bought the mattress, these baby cribs never come with one. The 5-in-1 feature means that it is a convertible crib that can transform from a baby crib into a toddler bed or a love seat, while the sides can convert into a full headboard and footboard, but the bedframe would have to be purchased separately along with the full sized mattress. The crib is ASTM/JPMA certified.

It took my wife several hours to complete assembly, and I asked her if she needed help every once in a while, which was only met with fire and resistance. When complete, it looked really beautiful. It was the first furniture item in our nursery and it reminded us of the joy we were soon to receive.

It lasted well into our boy’s second year in our second home in the country before he finally moved into his new toddler, and we only moved him out of the crib at 20 months because our daughter had been born and was to use his hand me down crib. Now at 20 months, she’s still sleeping in her crib, and it continues to be in great shape almost 4 years after the initial assembly.

Unfortunately they no longer make the 5-in-1, but you can find new styles of the Delta 3-in-1. I’m not sure why they discontinued the 5-in-1, but having to get an extra bedframe for the full size bed option must have been met with some resistance and difficulties. And truthfully, we’re still just using the crib version, so we could have just bought a 1-in-1, if that option is even available. But that’s just my cheap side talking, the 3-in-1’s baby cribs are perfect, the brand is durable and trustworthy, and they are all economically priced.

The Richmond crib converts into a toddler bed or loveseat, while the sides can convert into a full-sized headboard and footboard (bed frame and mattress not included) so it can grow with your child through the years.
