Usborne Touchy Feely Books

Usborne Touchy Feely Books are great award winning touch and feel board books for bigger babies and toddlers introducing them to sensory and language awareness through the use of bright illustrations and touch and feel patterns. Created by Fiona Watt under the United Kingdom based Usborne Publishing, the Touchy Feely Books include That’s Not My.... series, Sparkly Touchy-Feely series, Noisy Touchy-Feely series and Hide-and-Seek Touchy Feely series.

Our kids’ favorite series is the That’s Not My... series and the best ones are That's Not My Car (Usborne Touchy Feely), That's Not My Monkey (Usborne Touchy-Feely Books), That's Not My Dinosaur [THATS NOT MY DINOSAUR-BOARD] [Board Books] and That's Not My Puppy.

The Touchy Feely Books That’s Not My series follows a little white mouse with a pink tail through the pages as he searches for his belongings. In the case of searching for his dinosaur, we follow his journey through various pages as he identifies each dinosaur by some distinctive characteristic, and ultimately figures out that it’s not his dinosaur because of a fuzzy tail, bumpy teeth or rough horns until he finally claims his possession at the end of the story, having successfully identified his dinosaur through a familiar feature.

As we follow the mouse’s journey, our younger girl learns and says the final word and characteristic of each page while our older three year old son reads all of the words along with mom and dad.

Our kids love these Usborne books so much that we’ve read them hundreds of times over and they’re still part of our nighttime routine. We look forward to adding more Usborne books to our library while discovering their other series.
