only is Transformers Bumblebee one of the coolest Transformers
characters, but this is definitely the best looking Transformer
Bumblebee costume on the market! When the costume arrived for our four
year old son, I couldn’t believe how awesome it looked, and was likewise
impressed by the quality. My wife bought a size up after considering
the necessary warm under-layer for the cool Halloween nights in
Pennsylvania, and the costume provided a nice warm layer itself. She
bought the 8-10 years size, so he might still be able to fit into it.
helps greatly that the Transformers Bumblebee costume is based on the
recent Transformers film trilogy, since the original Bumblebee Autobot
was based on a Volkswagen Beetle. In the film, Bumblebee starts off as a
1977 Chevy Camaro with black stripes before later transforming itself
into a 2006 Chevy Camaro using the same research & development mold
used for the concept car.
the Transformers Bumblebee costume, our boy looked incredibly cool! And
although the films were too violent for us to allow him to watch, he
got into his own character and made it work. After visiting several
houses, he joined his sister and auntie yelling out boisterous, “Trick
or Treats!” home after home.
The costume comes in two pieces, the jumpsuit made with good quality fabric and the mask, which is a front facing plastic type with elastic backing. My wife also ordered the Bumblebee gloves separately, and out of some mysterious anomaly, we lost it during out trick or treating event, somewhere either in the van or on the street, lost into the empty void of nothingness.
were other accessories available for the costume, including a Robot
Weapons Bumblebee Plasma Cannon, or you could even replace the mask with
a highly upgraded Bumblebee Role Play Helmet that has the signature
Bumblebee horns and three electronic modes that mixes your voice to
sound like Bumblebee’s radio voice. The helmet also comes with battle
phrases and transformation sounds. But since we have two more kids to
dress up for Halloween, the gloves were a good enough accessory.
Overall I felt this was one of the few costumes were I was relieved at the cost, since I tend to think that most are too expensive. I may be somewhat biased that I enjoyed the trilogy and grew up watching the Transformers cartoons, but ultimately, it was the money!
